About Face exists to provide a safe space for servicewomen, veterans, advocates and other concerned individuals to candidly promote the discussion of issues facing and influencing our community. Our purpose is to bring real voices and compelling analysis to issues that women face while serving in the U.S. military and afterwards. We hope About Face will provide a forum for a variety of discussions among current military personnel, veterans and those who support them.

"About face" is a military term referring to the act of pivoting to face in the opposite direction from the original, especially in a military formation. It also refers to a complete change of attitude or viewpoint.
